Why Am I Doing This?
My Story…
Many years ago, when I saw my own houseplants struggling I became so frustrated! The Google searches didn't tell me exactly what was wrong, nor did the plant apps, and the more things I “tried” the less it was helping my poor plants. Honestly, I felt embarrassed hosting guests because they would see wilting plants or brown tips. Not understanding my houseplants’ health goes against my core values of leading a sustainable lifestyle and creating lasting results that assist my physical and mental health.
So what did I do?
I started working at a nursery and dove deep into troubleshooting so that people (including me) could live in peace with their houseplants. I then started sharing the solutions because I felt more confident in my ability to detect a problem and prevent it. After that, I had guests over often.
On a grander scale, I started Zen Plant Care to combat the growing climate change issues by sustaining greenery in cities to cool the temperature down. A little bit goes a long way!
